VintageAuctionGalleries.com began in the spring of 2006. Don Knight had retired from a long career in the financial services sector and was looking for some meaningful things to occupy his free time beyond his other continuing interests - family, baseball, nature and politics.

His research concluded that there was a need for a marketplace for niche paper collectibles, a web presence for collectors to meet and buy, sell, and trade and to acquire information about their hobby - not a site that tried to sell everything under the sun through a myriad of categories.

With a long history as a vintage postcard collector, Don decided that the initial niche marketplace he would develop would be for vintage postards and other paper collectibles. VintageAuctionGalleries.com thus was born.

VintageAuctionGalleries.com is a family owned, small business operating in the beautiful, four season area of the Georgian Bay area of Southern Ontario, Canada. It is our first effort on the web and we may stumble along the way but, with our desire to be the best there is, will always operate in the best interests of you - our marketplace members.
